No age limit on success

I loved going on Twitter yesterday and seeing the internet going crazy for Aline Brosh McKenna saying that there is no age limit on success. This is such an important message for women everywhere.

And it inspired many more women to tell their stories.

It’s never too late to realize your dreams.

I sometimes wake up and think I am crazy for starting Better Not Younger, but this is IMPORTANT to me for so many reasons. It’s more important than just having great looking hair.

The bigger mission is about remembering and reinforcing that age can’t stop us. It’s about remembering that we as women become more powerful as we age, that we become more comfortable in ourselves and we get BETTER as we grow older.

Just because we reach a certain age or a certain life stage doesn’t mean it’s too late to achieve our dreams.

My two top tips for realizing your dreams:

Don’t assume

It’s easy to assume that it’s not your place to do something. Those people won’t be interested in what you want to say. That your place in the world is set by a certain age. Don’t assume. Instead, force yourself to do things that make you uncomfortable and that make you feel excited and alive again.

Just ask

You don’t get it if you don’t ask. One of the biggest things I have had to do since starting Better Not Younger is asking for help. It’s a step into the unknown and there is so much that I haven’t done before. If you don’t ask for help, how will people even realize that you need their help?

Thank you, Aline, for reminding us that our career goals are possible at any age.
